Getting Started

How many players do I need?

Body Soda requires a minimum of 4 players and supports up to 10 players. If you have fewer than 4 real players, the host can add bots in the lobby to fill up the room.

Do all players need to be on the same WiFi?

Yes. Body Soda uses peer-to-peer WiFi networking — all devices must be connected to the same local network (home WiFi, office WiFi, or a mobile hotspot will all work).

The game does not work over mobile data alone. If you want to play across locations, all players can tether to one person's mobile hotspot.

How do I host a game?
  1. Open Body Soda and tap Host Game.
  2. Enter your name and choose the number of rounds (1–20).
  3. Tap Create Room. A 6-character room code appears.
  4. Share that code with the other players.
  5. When everyone has joined, tap Start Game.
How do I join a game?
  1. Make sure you're on the same WiFi network as the host.
  2. Open Body Soda and tap Join Game.
  3. Enter your name and the 6-character room code the host shared.
  4. Tap Join Room. You'll appear in the host's lobby.

Troubleshooting

I can't connect — "Could not connect" error
  • Confirm both devices are on the same WiFi network (check the network name in each phone's WiFi settings).
  • If your WiFi has "client isolation" or "AP isolation" enabled (common on guest or public WiFi), devices on the same network can't see each other. Use a different network or a mobile hotspot.
  • Re-enter the 6-character room code carefully — check for O/0 and I/1 typos.
  • Ask the host to restart the game (Leave → Host Game again) to generate a new code.
My game froze when I locked my screen

Body Soda keeps the screen awake during a match (via wake-lock) so this shouldn't happen in normal use. If you manually lock your phone mid-round, the app will detect the resume and send a catch-up heartbeat automatically.

If you were away for more than 90 seconds, the host may have already flagged you as disconnected. Ask the host to restart the match.

I see a host but can't see myself in the lobby

This usually means your "join" message was dropped. Tap the back arrow to leave, then try joining again with the same code. If the issue persists, ask the host to restart.

No sound, or only some sounds play
  • Check your phone's volume (media volume, not ringer).
  • In Body Soda, tap Settings and make sure Sound Effects and/or Background Music are enabled.
  • If some effects play but others don't, try closing and reopening the app.
Ads aren't loading

Ads load over the internet. If your device has no internet connection, or your network blocks Google AdMob, ads won't appear — but the game itself is fully playable without them. This is normal on a LAN-only setup.

Scoring & Gameplay

How does scoring work?

Open Settings → Scoring Guide inside the app for a full breakdown. Quick summary:

  • King: 1000 pts always
  • Queen: 900 pts always
  • Bishop: 500 pts always
  • Police: 700 pts if correct, 0 if wrong, plus streak bonuses up to +1000
  • Thief: 700 pts if escaped, 0 if caught
  • Correct prediction: +150 bonus
  • Comeback boost: +30% for bottom 2 players from round 2 onward
Can I change the language mid-game?

The language (English / Tamil / Hindi) is a per-device setting. Each player can pick their own. Change it in Settings → Language.

Privacy & Data

Do you store my player name or gameplay?

No. Plenitude Systems does not operate any servers for Body Soda. All gameplay happens peer-to-peer between devices on your local WiFi. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I opt out of personalized ads?

On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization", or reset your advertising ID.
